Pre-K for Military Families: Honoring Service, Educating Children

Jul 03, 2007

Even as states across the United States make impressive progress toward providing pre-kindergarten for all three and four year olds, many children in urgent need of high-quality early education still lack access. As states look to expand pre-k by first targeting those with the greatest need, policymakers should consider how the children of our nation’s military personnel are affected when their parents serve our country.
