Below you will find information on eligibility, terms of the award, participating institutions and National Advisory Committee members for the 26th series of awards, to be made in 2010.

  • Eligibility

    The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences is open to individuals with a doctorate in medicine or biomedical sciences. Candidates should, on basis of performance during education and training, have outstanding promise as contributors in science relevant to human health.

  • Terms of the Award

    An award of $60,000 per year will be provided to the sponsoring institution for use by the Scholar over the four-year period, subject to annual review of the Scholar’s progress.

  • Participating Institutions

    For the 26th series of awards, to be made in 2010, one nomination will be invited from the presidents of each of a limited number of institutions selected on the basis of the scope of their work in biomedical research.

  • National Advisory Committee

    The National Advisory Committee provides scientific leadership to the program, reviews all applications, and identifies candidates to be recommended to the Pew Board to be named Pew Scholars.
