Washington , DC - 07/24/2013 - President Obama on Wednesday vowed to use the remainder of his term to "make this country work for working Americans again."

The cornerstones of that effort would include more good jobs, better education, home ownership, a secure retirement and affordable health care, Obama told an audience at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill.

The president also spoke about the value of pre-school education, student loans, transportation and information networks, job training, and economic mobility.
