Event: Financial Reform - Too Important to Fail

Source Organization: Pew Charitable Trusts

03/18/2010 - On March 18, 2010, Pew's Financial Reform Project hosted an event at the National Press Club to highlight the need to enact meaningful financial reform legislation during the 111th Congress.  Featured speakers at the conference included Dr. Lawrence Summers, Director of the National Economic Council and Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Bob Corker (R-TN).  All shared their views on the prospects for the passage of substantive reform during the current Congress, and what needs to happen in order to reach that goal.
