05/13/2010 - A week after Tennessee Business Leaders for a Clean Energy Economy asked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to move forward on a comprehensive energy policy bill, the group endorsed a much-anticipated Senate bill that was unveiled Wednesday.

The Business Leaders group, which includes Nike, Sharp Manufacturing Co. of America and real estate developer Jones Lang LaSalle with facilities in Shelby County, said the bill creates the kind of framework that will help Tennessee lead the clean-energy economy of the future, said its spokeswoman, Cortney Piper.
