06/10/2009 - The Pew Charitable Trusts published a report detailing the nation’s clean energy economy, providing the first-ever hard count across all 50 states of environmentally friendly jobs, businesses and investments. The report:
• shows how job growth in the clean energy economy has performed relative to the overall economy,
• looks at policies and investments that are poised to drive future growth,
• provides examples of specific companies and states that are leading the way in this sector,
• presents a clear, data-driven definition for the clean energy economy, and
• provides a framework for policy makers and the private sector to track jobs, investments, business creation and growth over time.
