 Luis E. Lugo became the director of the Pew Research Center’s Religion & Public Life Project in January 2004.  Prior to joining the Pew Research Center’s Religion & Public Life Project, he served as the director of the Religion program at The Pew Charitable Trusts in Philadelphia, a position he held for seven years.
