Facing Facts: Public Attitudes and Fiscal Realities in Five Stressed States

Date: November 10, 2010

Location:

Description:

About the Program

Californians’ priorities for state government are strikingly similar to those of residents in four of the nation’s other most fiscally stressed states, according to the first multistate survey by PPIC and the Pew Center on the States. But in each of the five states—Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, and New York—the public’s views conflict with budget realities. Please join us for a conversation about what these findings will mean for newly elected leaders faced with making painful decisions, and what California can and should do to restore its fiscal health in the months and years ahead.

Lunch will be provided and there is no charge to attend. Pre-registration is requested.
