A report to be released by the Pew Center on the States will show how many children in America go without dental care each year and how well states are ensuring proper dental health and access to care. The Cost of Delay, to be released with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the DentaQuest Foundation, grades each state’s policy responses to the urgent need for action to improve dental health among America’s low-income children.  February is National Children’s Dental Health Month.

The report includes:
• An in-depth analysis of the scope of the nation’s significant challenges in children’s dental health
• Grades for all 50 states and the District of Columbia on whether and how well they are employing proven policy solutions to ensure children’s dental health and access to care
