This Wednesday, November 18th The Pew Charitable Trusts, in conjunction with Belmont University, will host a public forum discussing the Law of the Sea Treaty and the potential consequences of the United States failing to ratify and sign it. A panel of experts on national security and legal issues will be on hand to illustrate what impact American absence from the Law of the Sea Treaty will have on the nation. The Law of the Sea convention ensures international stability and peaceful use of the world’s seas and oceans governing all activities on, over and under international waters.
