Already well-established internationally, the field of health impact assessment (HIA) is growing rapidly in the United States. To continue highlighting the importance of health-focused public policy domestically, Aaron Wernham, director of the Health Impact Project, will give two presentations about HIA at the upcoming American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, November 7–11, 2009.

  • Monday, November 9, 2009 at 8:30 AM, Dr. Wernham will present in session 3004.0, "Late Breaking Developments in Public Health." His talk will be on "Health Impact Assessment: A powerful tool for health-focused public policy." 
  • Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 2:30 PM, Dr. Wernham will present in session 4278.0 on "Politics, Policy, and Public Health," in a talk on integrating health and environmental impact assessment.
