Description:
The Pew Charitable Trusts will release a report detailing the nation’s clean energy economy on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. ET. While a number of studies on the so-called “green economy” have been released in recent years, Pew will provide the first-ever hard count across all 50 states of environmentally friendly jobs, businesses and investments. The report will:
- Show how job growth in the clean energy economy has performed relative to the overall economy,
- Look at policies and investments that are poised to drive future growth,
- Provide examples of specific companies and states that are leading the way in this sector,
- Present a clear, data-driven definition for the clean energy economy, and
- Provide a framework for policy makers and the private sector to track jobs, investments, business creation and growth over time.
