On Friday, March 20th, Mount Vernon and the Pew Environment Group will co-host a discussion on the challenges of and solutions to global warming and energy security featuring the Honorable John Warner(R-VA). Speakers and panelists will include Virginia state officials, leading scientists, public health experts and military officials. Topics of discussion will include threats to U.S. national security and public health due to global warming and the impact of sea-level rise on Virginia. Proposed policy solutions to prepare the United States to lead in a carbon constrained economy will be discussed.
