School fundraising has opened a back door that lets high-calorie food and drinks into schools on a regular basis. One state even passed a policy allowing four unhealthy fundraisers every school day.

Fortunately, many students, parents, and schools are saying “no, thanks” to junk food fundraisers. See how local and state leaders play a key role in ensuring that schools raise money in ways that support good nutrition and children’s health.
