In March 2013, Rhode Island partnered with the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative to help meet the state’s objective of applying data and evidence to key budget, policy, and regulatory decisions. In this testimonial video, Brian Daniels, director of performance management in the Office of Management and Budget, highlights Rhode Island’s progress in implementing the Results First approach and discusses the findings from its inventory of evidence-based recidivism reduction programs in the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems.
