Pew and Other Stakeholders Urge Congress to Include PRRs in Final Opioid Bill

On May 27, The Pew Charitable Trusts—along with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Express Scripts Inc., CVS Health, Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, and Health Care Service Corp.—sent a letter to House and Senate congressional conferees urging them to include a provision in final opioid legislation that would authorize the use of patient review and restriction (PRR) programs by Medicare plan sponsors.
