A Plan to Save 9 Species - Amendment 17-B

Federal fishery managers are working to end overfishing of nine imperiled species in the U.S. South Atlantic from North Carolina to Florida. These slow-growing and late-to-mature species are being caught faster than they can reproduce. The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, which sets fishing policies in southeast federal waters, approved new rules to restore these valuable fish populations.
