On April 8, Pew hosted a discussion with senior defense officials on ways the business community can partner with DOD on research and development of advanced energy technologies. A subsequent conversation, co-organized with New America on Aug. 4, focused on facilities energy projects.

On April 8, The Pew Charitable Trusts hosted a webinar with Pentagon officials, “Energy R&D, Demonstration Projects, and the Acquisition System: How to Work with the Department of Defense.” The discussion focused on Department of Defense research, development, and testing programs for energy technologies and on opportunities for businesses to work with the military to develop their innovations. This event was the first in a two-part series; the subsequent webcast, on Aug. 4, focused on facilities energy projects.
