Jeffrey Stinson is editor of Stateline. He has covered state government in Topeka, Pierre, Indianapolis, Albany and a special legislative session in Little Rock. Stinson covered Congress, the White House and presidential campaigns for Gannett News Service. He was Washington bureau chief for The Arkansas Gazette, and senior national editor and London bureau chief for USA Today. He has reported from Europe, the Middle East and Russia. He covered the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall, the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah and the 2008 invasion of Georgia by Russia. He is a graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas.
