Ben Streeter is the copy editor and fact checker for Stateline. A cum laude graduate of Gettysburg College, he began his editorial career in his college town, editing for The Gettysburgian, his college paper, and editing and writing for Celebrate Gettysburg magazine. After earning his bachelor’s degree in political science, Streeter interned at The Gettysburg Review, a literary journal; started a film blog for the Majestic Theater, writing movie reviews; and was an editorial assistant and reporter at the Hanover Evening Sun. Before joining Stateline, he was a copy editor at The Hill in Washington, D.C., and wrote for TheHill.com. Earlier, he was a copy editor and page designer for the Carroll County Times in Westminster, Maryland. He is a member of the American Copy Editors Society and holds a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing.
