Media, States, and Civic Groups Partner With VIP to Get Out the Vote

As Election Day nears, the Voting Information Project (VIP) has seen more than 410,000 voters access Get to the Polls and the Voting Information Tool to look up information for elections across the country.

State and local governments, companies, and advocacy groups have partnered with VIP by placing the Voting Information Tool on their websites throughout 2017 to assist voters seeking key information about primaries, runoffs, and local and municipal races. 

The Virginia Department of Elections, New Jersey Division of Elections, California Secretary of State, Oregon Secretary of State, VotoLatino, SaveTheDay, AT&T, and The Arc are all directing users to look up VIP’s voting information.   

VIP is also joining with prominent social media companies and civic-minded partners. On Election Day, VIP information will be shared via Facebook and Twitter. Other partners sharing VIP information through the election include TurboVote, HeadCount, and Rock the Vote, government websites such as USA.gov, as well as political parties.

VIP, an initiative of The Pew Charitable Trusts, is a collaboration with the states and Google to ensure that Americans have the official information they need to cast a ballot, including where to vote and what candidates and initiatives are on the ballot.
