About the HIA of the Americas Workshop

HIA practitioners from across the Americas will gather this year for the fifth HIA of the Americas workshop, now hosted by SOPHIA, which will be held on September 15 and 16, 2014 in Oakland, California. The objectives of this two-day workshop are to:

  • Build a community of HIA practitioners by offering an intimate forum to network and share ideas and tools that elevate the practice of HIA; and
  • Promote excellence in HIA by sharing best practices, tackling challenging HIA related issues, and disseminating resources and work products developed by the HIA of the Americas working groups.

You can find an agenda and materials from the 2013 HIA of the Americas Workshop here.
