Global Penguin Conservation

Pew's global penguin conservation project aims to reverse the decline in penguin species through the first worldwide effort to address threats to their populations. Pew will take a two-pronged approach by:

  • Working to establish large, no-take marine reserves in Antarctica’s Southern Ocean.
  • Working to restore and protect important breeding and feeding grounds for penguins in the Southern Ocean and the coastal waters of countries throughout the Southern Hemisphere.
