STATE ELECTION DATA PROJECT

Election administrators need relevant, accurate data to make informed decisions and manage elections in a way that maximizes security, accessibility, and efficiency. Pew provided technical assistance to help state and local election offices develop the metrics and data collection systems necessary for evaluating policies and practices. The information gathered was used to identify and monitor trends, share proven practices, and build better systems and budgets.

When state elections data are reliable and accessible, election administrators can make evidence-based decisions and the public can hold officials accountable for providing the services that drive democracy.
