Phone Briefing: One-Year Anniversary of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

On Friday, April 15, 2011, the Pew Environment Group hosted a phone briefing to look at the one-year anniversary of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. During the call, experts including U.S. Arctic Program Director Marilyn Heiman and Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen (Ret.) discussed what steps are still needed on offshore energy reform and the challenges of spill prevention and response in the extreme, remote and fragile U.S. Arctic Ocean.
