Pew Environment Group's Comments to the Environmental Protection Agency Regarding Pollution from Industrial Animal Agriculture in the Chesapeake Bay

Large scale animal agriculture has long been and remains a major source of polluting nutrients to the Chesapeake Bay. As the Environmental Protection Agency moves forward with Bay watershed states in setting controls on pollution into the watershed, Pew calls on the EPA to halt the business as usual model for managing runoff from agricultural operations and to begin making real progress to dramatically reduce pollutant releases associated with livestock agriculture.
