Letter to Chairman Piñero-Soler, Caribbean Fishery Management Council, Apr. 2010

The Comprehensive Annual Catch Limit Amendment is a critical first step towards ensuring sustainable fishing in waters of the U.S. Caribbean. The Council and the territorial governments have also worked diligently with stakeholders and the federal government to improve data collection methods and create consistent regulations between federal and territorial waters.
The current version of the amendment is thorough and thoughtful, and represents more than a
year of hard work by the Council and staff.
