Survey: Pickup Truck Owners Strongly Support Increasing Fuel Efficiency Standards

U.S. automakers are claiming again that a major increase in fuel economy will mean puny and underpowered pickups. But they already have the technology to dramatically improve the mileage of these vehicles without sacrificing size or acceleration. And pickup owners know it. A national survey shows they support gas mileage increases for cars, SUVs and trucks by a margin of 83 to 9.
