International Employment Data Privacy and Transfer Consent Statement (Australia and New Zealand)
The information you provide on this website now and in subsequent applications will be held and processed by or on behalf of Pew for purposes related to your registration of interest in current or future employment with Pew and the processing of your application for employment.
When you request information through this site, we may need to know some personal information about you. You can decide what personal information you provide to us. To help in the recruitment process, we collect personal data about you from your profile, resume/CV, referees and other persons or entities referred to in your resume/CV, public sources (including the internet) and in some circumstances from external assessors. You may choose to provide us with personal information if, for example, you contact us with an enquiry, register on the site, or fill out a resume/CV or other form which may include your personal information. If you provide us with someone else’s personal information you must ensure they have consented to their personal information being provided to us based on this document.
We may use the personal information that you supplied (including telephone number, postal address, and/or email address), in order to contact you regarding our recruitment opportunities and provide you with information about working at Pew. We may use your personal information in order to verify your identity and personal information, conduct background and screening checks, maintain our records, respond to your queries and requests. The personal information you provide may be used by a service provider to enable us to respond to you. Without your personal information we may be limited in our ability to consider you further for positions with us.
If your application is successful, the information will be used in the administration of your employment. If your application is unsuccessful, Pew may retain and use the information in a secure database which you provided on this application form for up to 2 years to deal with any matter which may arise in connection with your application, for purposes of contacting you in connection with ongoing recruitment opportunities, as well as for data analysis, general management and business purposes.
You have the option to withdraw yourself from a particular requisition at anytime. Although you may also request that your information be deleted from our database at anytime, we may have to retain certain information related to your particular application for a limited period to meet legal or records retention requirements in your country. Full instructions on both these options are detailed in your candidate account. You can update your contact details at anytime by visiting your candidate account and updating your information accordingly.
To achieve better quality in the processing and administration of applicant data, Pew may enter into contracts with third parties to carry out this processing on behalf of and only according to Pew’s instructions. These third parties provide Pew include providers of recruitment data hosting, data processing, research, investigation, auditing, accounting, legal, business consulting, archival, banking, payment, delivery, website and technology services. Please also note that when data is transferred to third parties in these circumstances, these parties are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements and are required to keep your data securely.
The third parties appointed by Pew may also use their own third parties (sub-processors), who may be located outside your country or region, to carry out some of their processing. These sub-processors are also under the duty to maintain appropriate levels of security and confidentiality and only use the information as instructed.
We may also exchange your personal information with our affiliates, your representatives, referees, your current and previous employers, academic institutions, professional and trade associations and law enforcement agencies.
By submitting your information, you consent to the transfer of your data to The Pew Charitable Trusts, located at 2005 Market Street, Suite 2800, Philadelphia, PA 19108 and at 901 E. Street NW, Washington, DC 20004, and at other locations within the United States and around the world, and to the processing of data relating to you in connection with your application for legal, personnel, administrative and management purposes. Since Pew operates globally, the information you submit may be transferred outside your country of origin to PEW entities and third parties in the US, Australia, the EEA, New Zealand as well as other jurisdictions.
