John Grant directs The Pew Charitable Trusts’ dental campaign, leading research and advocacy efforts to improve access to dental care for underserved people. This work includes Pew’s initiatives to expand the dental workforce, increase the availability of preventive services, and create a system that brings dental care to more people who need it. Previously, he served as a strategic adviser to the project. In that role, he helped lead a successful campaign to pass oral health legislation in New York state.
Grant has more than 15 years of experience in the public policy, nonprofit, and advocacy arenas. Before joining Pew, he worked for the Natural Resources Defense Council, the League of Conservation Voters, and Clean Energy Works. He has a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree from George Washington University.
