Spotlight on Our Partnerships
Pew often co-invests in donor projects. This enables our partners to leverage both our expertise and our funds to achieve greater impact than they would on their own.
Collaborations
- Northeast Land Trust Consortium. Pew partners with leading regional conservation groups and donors to conserve forests, waterways and farmland in the northeast United States. Together, we leverage funds to purchase land or development rights from private entities. Hundreds of thousands of acres of pristine land have been protected in perpetuity.
- Partnership for America’s Economic Success. Successful children become productive adults. On this premise, Pew convened a group of donors to commission high-quality research on the economic benefits of major interventions in the lives of very young children and to evaluate which strategies are the most cost effective. The Partnership’s donors are all active on its advisory board, which also includes economists, children’s advocates, business leaders and policy experts.
Custom-Designed Initiatives
- Lenfest Ocean Program. At the donor’s request, Pew custom-designed a major initiative to support research relevant to marine policy decisions. Fully funded by the Lenfest Foundation and operated by Pew, the program addresses urgent problems affecting marine ecosystems worldwide. Funded research has yielded papers in Science and other leading peer-reviewed journals.
